PRIVACY POLICY
Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. (“Bressler” or “we”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy states how we collect personal information from you or others and how we use and share or otherwise process that information.  Personal information is information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.  This Privacy Policy also applies to information collected when you visit our Site, www.bressler.com.  By browsing, accessing, or using our Site, you are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy.  For further information, please contact us at info@bressler.com.

Collection and Use of Personal Information 
Depending upon the nature of our relationship and the requirements of law, the personal information we may collect differs.  

Clients: Information we collect from clients includes identifying and payment information and information contained in agreements executed with us and other details clients may provide.  In addition, in providing legal services (e.g., representation in a proceeding or a corporate transaction) we may collect employee and other information of our clients, as well as personal information of others related to clients.  

Office Visitors: We collect personal information from office visitors to identify them for safety and business purposes.  We use that information to provide access to facilities and to provide information, including regarding our services, for purposes disclosed during the visit or otherwise with consent. 

Careers: We use information you submit to apply for a position with Bressler solely for the purposes of considering applications and recruitment.  If you commence work for Bressler, we use such information for administration purposes.  We do not use information submitted by applicants for marketing purposes.

SuppliersWe collect personal information from suppliers and prospective suppliers.  We process this information for business purposes including to manage the supplier relationship, facilitate payments, improve our site and services and for additional purposes  disclosed at the time of disclosure of the personal information or to which the supplier subsequently consents. 

Other Information Collected:  In general, you can visit our Site without providing us with personal information about yourself.  However, before we allow you to access certain information, like studies or white papers, we may require you to disclose personal information. 

Where you have consented to our processing of your personal information, subject to applicable legal and ethical obligations that may apply to us and to our lawful ability to enforce our rights or your obligations to us, you may withdraw that consent at any time. 

Publications and Email Alerts:  On our Site, you may elect to receive alerts and other publications from us. If you do so, we may ask you for identifying information and publications of interest to you. This information helps us provide such information to you as well as information on other topics that may interest you.  You have the option to decline these communications at no cost. 

Contact Us:  You may communicate with us through the “Contact Us” link on our Site.  If you do so, we may ask you for contact and business information, so we can respond to your questions and comments.  We also may use the personal information you provide to communicate with you about topics that we believe may be of interest to you. 

Email:  If you engage in email communications with us, we may retain the information you send us or that we obtain through your exchange of emails, attachments or links.  We may use this information for a variety of business purposes, including for business development.

Events:  If you register for an event we sponsor, you will be asked to provide us with your contact information.  We use this information to register you for the event and contact you about event updates.  We also may use the information to communicate with you about other events and topics that we believe may be of interest to you.

Aggregate Information:  To improve our Site, we may collect non-personal visitor information from the use of the Site.  This data does not personally identify you or any other visitors to the site.

Domain Information Collection: We may collect domain information to enable us to analyze how our visitors use this Site.  This data enables us to become more familiar with which people visit our Site, how often they visit, and what parts of the Site they visit most often.  We use this information to improve its Web-based offerings.  This information is collected automatically and requires no action on your part.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies:  We may collect non-personally identifiable information about users of this Site by sending “cookies” to its users’ browsers.  We reserve the right to use cookies, Internet protocol (“IP”) addresses and other tracking technologies if needed to identify users when required to enforce compliance with our Terms of Use, to protect the site and the information contained on this site, our users or clients or others, or as required by applicable law, regulation or court order.

Sharing of Information
We do not sell or otherwise disclose personal information, except as described in this Privacy Policy or to which you explicitly consent.  We may share the information with third-party service providers, but they are not authorized to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or to comply with legal requirements.

We may disclose information about you if we are required to do so by law, in response to lawful request of governmental entities, in litigation, to enforce our rights including collecting amounts owed to us or if we believe such disclosure is necessary to prevent harm or loss including in an investigation or proceeding regarding suspected illegal activity.  We may share server log data containing IP addresses with law enforcement bodies in order that they may identify users in connection with their investigation of the unauthorized activities.

We reserve the right to disclose or transfer any information we have about you in a business combination, joint venture or sale of all or part of our business (including should Bressler cease to trade, become insolvent, enter into receivership or any similar event occur).  Should such an event take place, we will endeavor to direct the transferee to use personal information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. 

Protection of Information
Although we undertake measures to assure confidentiality, we cannot guarantee the privacy of personal information you transmit to us over the internet.  We also cannot guarantee any security measures that we may use in protecting personal information that we receive from you.  Nor can we guarantee the privacy of your personal information if you visit any third-party websites, including those that may be hyperlinked from this Site.  If you wish to edit, revise or remove the personal information that you submitted to Bressler, please let us know by sending us an email to info@bressler.com

There may be circumstances in which we are unable to provide access to your personal information, including but not limited to:  legal privilege, competing third party privacy or other legitimate rights, disproportionate burden or commercial proprietary considerations.  We will try to explain any such circumstance to you if it arises.  You will be required to prove your identity before accessing or requiring us to edit or remove any personal information.

Retention 
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected such information, to provide our services and for other business purposes including compliance with applicable laws and in accordance with our routine information storage policies. 

Children’s Privacy on the Site
The Site is not for use by children under the age of 13 years old.  To protect their privacy, Bressler prohibits solicitation of personal information from children under 13.  If you are under 13, please do not submit any personal information on the Site.

Do Not Track Signals
“Do Not Track” signals are options available on your browser to tell operators of websites that you do not wish to have your online activity tracked.  Bressler’s Site operates no differently if these “Do Not Track” signals are enabled or disabled.  Bressler’s Internet Services do not allow any third parties to collect Personal Information about your online activities over time or across websites for their own purposes.

California Privacy Rights
Pursuant to California Civil Code Section 1798.83, residents of California are entitled to request information relating to whether a business has disclosed Personal Information to any third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes.  Bressler does not sell or share your Personal Information with third-party companies for their direct marketing purposes without your consent.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time and without prior notice to you.  By accessing this Privacy Policy after we make any such changes, you are deemed to have accepted such changes.  Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on the Site.  Please review the Privacy Policy periodically for changes.
