Cynthia Borrelli will moderate a panel "Regulatory Challenges in a Global Economy" at the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel's 2015 Insurance Industry Institute (I-3) on Friday, October 22 at the New York Athletic Club.
The panel, comprised of corporate counsel from US and international organizations and former state and federal insurance regulators, will examine the increasing convergence of regulation on insurers. Topics include:
• Supervisory colleges and the US ORSA requirements as compared to European risk assessment standards
• The impact of amended holding company requirements in the US upon global insurers
• International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) emerging capital standards
• Rapidly developing state regulatory initiatives regarding Cybersecurity, including NAIC's April 2015, "Principles for Effective Cybersecurity Insurance Regulatory Guidance
