Christopher Salloum is an associate in the firm’s Insurance and Litigation practice groups and focuses his practice on professional liability, insurance coverage disputes, tort and insurance defense, and commerical litigation.

Prior to joining Bressler, Chris served as a Deputy Attorney General in the Office of the Attorney General, Division of Law, where he was a member of the Professional Boards Prosecution and Government and Healthcare Fraud Prosecution Sections.

In his Government and Healthcare Fraud Prosecution cases, Chris investigated and prosecuted government contractor fraud and related consumer fraud matters. He served as lead and co-counsel in federal-state, multi-state, and New Jersey-initiated investigations of major financial institutions, multinational conglomerates, pharmaceutical companies, and healthcare providers, among others, for potential violations of the New Jersey False Claims Act and Consumer Fraud Act.

In his Professional Boards Prosecution cases, Chris investigated and prosecuted licensed professionals, including physicians, chiropractors, and nurses, for violations of the statutes, regulations, and professional standards governing the practice of the regulated professions. In this capacity, Chris advised, and appeared on behalf of the Attorney General before, numerous state licensing boards, mainly the State Board of Medical Examiners, and developed an expertise in the professional boards disciplinary and licensing processes.

While at the Division of Law, Chris also gained experienced handling appeals (both emergent and non-emergent) before the Appellate Division and the Supreme Court of New Jersey implicating a diverse array of legal issues ranging from the constitutionality of the State Board of Medical Examiners’ Termination of Pregnancy Regulation to the propriety of Superior Court orders terminating parental rights.

Chris earned his B.A., summa cum laude, from Rutgers University, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and his J.D., with honors, from the George Washington University Law School. While in law school, Chris served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Paul Friedman, Senior District Judge, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and as a law clerk for the U.S. Civilian Board of Contract Appeals. Chris also was an active member of the Moot Court Board, and served as co-chair to two moot court competitions, and was a semifinalist in one for which he received an award for excellence in written advocacy.
