"I view our role as a seamless extension of the corporate counsel departments we serve, learning their business, providing neutral advice, and aggressive advocacy."

Michael T. Hensley is the Co-Chair of the firm's Business and Commercial Litigation Practice Group managing the Group's over forty attorneys and paralegals across the firm's six offices.  Michael is a trial attorney with a diverse practice that spans complex commercial, environmental, labor and employment, and professional malpractice matters.  Michael is retained by some of the largest companies in the world for their high stakes litigation, and routinely litigates the most complicated of cases in venues across the country.

Michael’s natural ability to present complex facts and concepts in an easily understandable way is cited by clients as to why he is consistently retained for major exposure litigation.  They respect not only his proven and successful record of aggressively trying many cases to verdict, but also his creativity in creating leverage for favorable settlements where appropriate. In addition to his reputation as a formidable litigator and lead trial attorney, Michael is a respected appellate advocate who has successfully argued before multiple state Appellate Divisions and U.S. Courts of Appeal.

Michael is active in firm management, serving as a Member of the Compensation Committee and Co-Chair of the Principal Tracking Committee.  He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Commercial and Federal Litigation Section and the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey.
